Well its soon going to be Christmas and i haven't even started Christmas shopping so Tommy and the rest of them will not be happy if they don't get anything, was home at the weekend and the weather wasn't to bad but very cold so Tommy got on his heavy weight rug on so he was happy. We couldn't ride this week due to it being so hard in the field with all the frost.
Home for 2 weeks on thursday so cant wait will get loads done with Tommy and Blue so that will be good. anyway thtas about it for this week not much else to say!!

Not Home Last Weekend
This weekend just passed I wasnt home as I was working at the yard, so my mum had to do the horses all week for me, so I never got any lessons or have done anything with any of them so they will be happy not having to work. Working weekends means am not home for 11 days and nothing gets done with Tommy or Blue.
Its soon coming up to christmas so will have to go shopping for a presant for them, think i might get Tommy and Blue both a new rug even though they got ones not that long ago it would be nice for them. I think Tommy may also like a new bridle but we will have to see about that one. Next weekend I think am going to have another lesson with Lea Allan to see if my back is any better yet. Tommy wont be to pleased he will have to work.

Another Lesson
I had another lesson this week with Lea I enjoyed it, I did get to ride my own horse so I was happy. She said I had improved from the week before and so had my back, In my lesson we done a little bit of flat work then moved on to jumping which Tommy loves so he was happy. I really enjoy my lessons and feel an coming on better so hopefully at this rate I will past my stage 1.
I also rode Blue again this week and she was a little star as always.
Tommy also manage to exscape from his Field which wasn't very good as he was in the long grass which he really doesn't need at he moment because he has a bit of a belly on him. So that was naughty of him then when a went to get him he wouldn't catch but I wan in the end and got a hold of him.
I have also been ask to ride Leas daughters horse while there are away for 2 weeks but am not going to manage to because a have to stay in Thurso the weekend to do the yard horses.
That's is for another week!

My Lesson
This week a had arranged to have a lesson with Lea Allan who taught me at pony club, I was meant to have my lesson on Tommy but a could not due to our Field being wet so we had to go up to her place so I could ride one of her horses.
I rode Everett this is Lea daughters pony hes is grey and is about 15.1 hands. I had a really good lesson with Lea as as she explained everything that a was doing wrong and showed me how to sort it or at least make it better. The only problem now is my back due to an old injury, this is affecting my riding because am not straight and my back gets sore when I ride. Lea is also helping with this as she does bowing, so she has done it on my it was sore at the time and after it but a feel better for it now.
Tommy Fern and Blue are still all the same, apart from Tommy mange to loose his rug in his field while he was out on Sunday. I found it later that day but the weird thing was the it was all still done up so we couldn't work out how he got it off. He gets cheekier by the day.
Well that's is for another week.

Bad Weather Weekend
This week I didn't ride due to the weather it was really bad, and we don't have an indoor school so it was a bit annoying not getting to ride. So I spent the two days I was home tidy them up by pulling there manes and chopping the feathers and i also clipped Tommy so he is hair free, which a don't think he was very happy about it.
We also had the blacksmith at the weekend to do there feet. Tommy got a new set of shoes on which was 50 pound, Fern also got a set of shoes on, and Blue got a trim. So they all nice new shoes.

Horses
This week Monty the horse I was riding and looking after went home as she has made time for him now. So now a have only got my three horses left which is a lot easier. They have started coming in at nights this is because is cold and wet most of the time so they come in at nights to get a nice bed and so they can have somewhere nice and dry to lie down.
I have found someone to ride Tommy while I am at college just to keep him going through the week, her name is Danni she is 12 and quite a good rider. She is riding him so he is still getting worked when am away and because she has lost her confidence with a new pony she has got so it will do her the world of good to.
At the weekend I went out on a hack on Tommy and my mum took Fern this was really funny as we thought Tommy would give Fern a bit of confidence as she is still young and scared of things, this ended up the other way round as Tommy was scared of everything and it was just as well we had Fern there or we wouldn't of gone anywhere.

My Horses
I have 3 horses at the moment, which a love to bits, Tommy, Fern and Blue. I also have a friends horse at the moment to ride as she hasn't had the time to ride him so a have been doing it for her, his name is Monty.
Monty and Tommy are both geldings (males) and fern and blue are (mares) females.
Tommy is 21 years of age and a Welsh section c x grey, I have own him for 7 years now and love him to bits. He may sound old but still acts like he is about 4 years old. Me and Tommy have a great bond with each other we have done everything together for example pony club which we were in the games team and showjumping team we do cross-country etc. He is my pride and joy and will never get rid of him.
Blue is 7 years of age and also a welsh section c x piebold, I have had her for about a year now, we haven't done a lot due to her being bad used in a previous home so I am just working slowly with her to get her confidence back. I would like to take her to a few shows then sell her on to a good home as she could be a wonderful little pony.
Fern is also 8 years old and is a Fresian, black a have had her for about 12 years, a don't really ride her much as she is my mums horse, she is a lovely horse and aims to please you. She does showjumping, dressage and cross-country, but if you take fern anywhere tommy has to go to as he is in love with her and hates to be left with out her.
